Bravo star and “Summer House” alum Paige DeSorbo is speaking candidly about a persistent health challenge she has been dealing with for years: chronic urinary tract infections (UTIs).
On the Sunday, February 22 episode of the “Broad Ideas” podcast, the 33-year-old revealed just how much UTIs have impacted her day-to-day life, particularly when it comes to dating and her overall well-being.
DeSorbo explained that she often had to make decisions about romantic compatibility based on her health.
“I also get so many UTIs, like chronic UTIs, so if I ever slept with someone and got a UTI, I was like, ‘I’m sorry, we’re not compatible,’” she shared.
The reality star discussed the debilitating nature of the infections, recalling how they used to leave her stuck in the bathroom for hours.
“In college, I used to be able to go to class, go do whatever. As I got older, they would truly debilitate [me]. I wouldn’t be able to move off of the toilet literally, I’d have to pee every four seconds,” she said.
Trying a New Regimen
DeSorbo has been experimenting with supplements to reduce the frequency of her UTIs.
Her current routine includes taking cranberry and oregano supplements twice a day.
“My most recent thing that I have been doing is I take a cranberry supplement twice a day and then I take an oregano supplement. And I’m usually on a pretty — like, every four months I’ll get one,” she explained.
She noted that while February would normally bring a new infection, so far she hasn’t experienced one.
UTIs, DeSorbo emphasized, are serious and need proper treatment.
She also addressed common misconceptions about the condition, noting that it isn’t necessarily tied to sexual activity.
“Having UTIs doesn’t necessarily correlate to my romantic partners; it most likely isn’t related,” she said.
Fertility Choices and Health Awareness
The reality star also discussed another major health decision: freezing her eggs.
Following her split from Southern Charm star Craig Conover in 2024, DeSorbo took steps to preserve her fertility.
“I’m a big proponent of freezing your eggs. Even if it doesn’t work or something happens, it gave me peace of mind immediately,” she said.
She pointed out that the process also revealed her peak fertility years, and encouraged others to consider proactive measures for long-term reproductive health.
