Gia Giudice Opens Up About Holiday Reunion With the Gorgas: ‘Let Bygones Be Bygones’

Gia Giudice is speaking candidly about what it took to bring her family back together. The “Next Gen NYC” star recently confirmed she spent Christmas Eve with her uncle Joe Gorga and his wife Melissa Gorga โ€” a major step forward for a family once plagued by tension.

Gia Giudice Reflects on Family Healing After Long Rift with Gorgas

During a December 26 appearance on Jeff Lewis Live on SiriusXM, Gia shared that her mom, “The Real Housewives of New Jersey” star Teresa Giudice, initiated the reunion with Joe at their parents’ gravesite.

โ€œThey met alone at the cemetery first. It was just them at first, just my mom and her brother,โ€ Gia explained. โ€œAfter that conversation went really well, they were like, โ€˜OK, now itโ€™s time to have a conversation, us four.โ€™โ€

She added that Teresaโ€™s husband, Luis โ€œLouieโ€ Ruelas, and Melissa joined the conversation later at a nearby park, before all four continued the discussion at Willow & Whisk, a popular Bergen County brunch spot.

โ€œPeople took pictures of them, and thatโ€™s kind of how [news of the reconciliation] got out,โ€ Gia said. โ€œThey were like, โ€˜OK, whatever. We canโ€™t hide forever.โ€™โ€

Inside the Giudice & Gorga Family Christmas

This yearโ€™s Christmas Eve was particularly meaningful, marking the first time Gia had ever visited Joe and Melissaโ€™s Franklin Lakes home.

โ€œThey invited us around Thanksgiving,โ€ she shared. โ€œSo we knew for quite some time now that we were gonna spend Christmas together.โ€

She said the evening was filled with heartfelt moments โ€” including one with her cousins, Antonia, Gino, and Joey Gorga.

โ€œI even said something to my cousins,โ€ Gia recalled. โ€œI said I am sorry for the disconnect and that Iโ€™m so happy weโ€™re here in a place where weโ€™re togetherโ€ฆ My mom and my aunt, everyone chimed in, and they were just like, let bygones be bygones, and we have to move on.โ€

Despite feeling grateful for the gathering, Gia admitted the catered food didnโ€™t quite meet her expectations. โ€œIt was OK. They had it catered,โ€ she said. โ€œEven next year โ€” my mom even said it โ€” we should all cook together because [the food] is always better.”

Still, one thing impressed the Bravo star: her aunt Melissaโ€™s Letโ€™s Sprinkle dessert line.

Gorga initially launched her dessert line in December 2024 with a debut batch of soft, baked-to-order rainbow sprinkle cookies. The brand was inspired by a now-infamous scene from “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” when Teresa Giudice criticized Melissaโ€™s contribution to their familyโ€™s Christmas celebration.

โ€œShe came to my house Christmas Day, she brought me sprinkle cookies,โ€ Teresa recalled in the viral moment. โ€œI said to her, โ€˜Melissa, nobody touched the cookies you brought. I threw them in the garbage. You know what my favorite cookies are? Pignoli cookies.โ€™ Thatโ€™s what I said.โ€

Despite the brandโ€™s origins, Gia has since embraced her aunt’s dessert line, saying, โ€œI like crumb cakeโ€ฆ I thought the cake was very moist,โ€ she said. โ€œIโ€™m not kidding. I really liked the cake.โ€
