Country Star Hits Pause on Touring to Focus on Mental Health

Country artist Randall King is pressing pause on his fast-paced career, choosing to step away from touring in order to focus on his personal life, faith and mental health.

The 35-year-old singer shared the candid update in a heartfelt social media post on Wednesday, March 18, offering fans a glimpse into the internal struggles that led to his decision.

King Bravely Opens Up

Reflecting on the demands of life on the road, King admitted, โ€œItโ€™s easy to get lost in this world. Sometimes you have no idea how deep into it you are until you step back and look.โ€

After taking time for self-reflection, King revealed that he recognized areas of his life that needed serious attention.

โ€œOver the past couple weeks Iโ€™ve dug deep and taken a hard look at areas of my life that need serious attention and change because not only have my choices affected myself, they have affected the people I love the most,โ€ he shared.

For King, the turning point centered around his faith.

โ€œMy faith comes first and right now I donโ€™t feel right stepping on stage without the confidence that Iโ€™m living as the man God has called me to be,โ€ he explained.

โ€œFor that reason, Iโ€™m pausing touring for the time being,โ€ King wrote. โ€œIโ€™m actively seeking professional help and focusing on my faith, my health/mental health, and my family.โ€

King Said the Decision to Pause Tour Was Not Easy

The decision was not an easy one. King acknowledged how deeply rooted touring has been in his life, calling it a defining part of his past decade.

โ€œItโ€™s so hard for me to cancel shows because touring has been my life for the last decade,โ€ he continued.

Still, the โ€œYou In A Honky Tonkโ€ singer emphasized that authenticity and personal growth had to come firstโ€”not just for himself, but for those who support him.

โ€œItโ€™s bigger than music,โ€ King continued. โ€œFor the sake of my faith, my family, and my fans, I have to be authentic in this change in my life, and walk by faith.โ€

As a result of his decision, several upcoming appearances have been canceled or postponed, including festival dates and a string of shows across Texas, Arizona and California.

Despite the uncertainty, King remains hopeful about what lies ahead.

He reassured fans that this time away is part of a larger journey toward healing and renewal.

โ€œLet me take this time, commit to getting well, and through this, return stronger, focused, and more grateful than ever,โ€ he wrote.

Closing his message with gratitude, King thanked fans for their continued support and prayers. โ€œIโ€™ve always looked at music as a way to heal but this is bigger than music. Through Godโ€™s grace and mercy I will rise from this and see yโ€™all soon.โ€
