Former “Dancing With the Stars” pro Lindsay Arnold said that she would consider returning to the show — now that her younger sister is on.
Arnold has taken the past few seasons away from the ballroom to stay home with her family after she and husband Sam Cusick welcomed daughters Sage and June. However, that could change. Arnold said that the addition of Rylee Arnold to the cast brings an interesting idea into the mix.
“The only thing that I think would be cool and something that I didn’t even think was possible was getting to compete alongside my baby sister,” Arnold said in an interview with She Knows Soaps.
Arnold last competed on season 30 alongside “Bachelor” Matt James. She won her only Mirrorball Trophy on season 25 with partner Jordan Fisher.
Lindsay Arnold Never Officially Closed the Door on DWTS
Although Arnold has decided to sit out a few seasons now, she hasn’t completely closed the door on the show.
“As many of you know, I was on ‘Dancing With the Stars’ for close to 10 years. I stepped away from the show two seasons ago. And when I stepped away, I wasn’t like, ‘I’m done forever.’ It was just like, ‘this is what works for my life and let’s just take it a season at a time,’” she said in a TikTok video shared in August 2024.
Arnold said something similar while chatting with Kaitlyn Bristowe on the “Off the Vine” podcast in January 2024.
“I’ve never really said, like, ‘I’m done forever.’ And that’s still my answer. Like, I’m not done forever, but I also don’t have a set, like, ‘in one year, I will start doing ‘Dancing With the Stars’ again,” Arnold said. “I’m just going to have to take it a year at a time,” she added.
Many Fans Think Lindsay Arnold Was a Great DWTS Pro
It seems as though a possible Arnold ballroom return would be totally welcomed by fans. In fact, a Reddit thread started on November 26 proved exactly that.
Someone took to the platform to point out that Arnold had an excellent track record on the show, making it to the semifinals quite a few seasons.
“Lindsay was phenomenal at her job,” one person commented.
“Lindsay had/has a talent to make all her partners look good. All of her partnerships were enjoyable to watch,” someone else added.
“Lindsay is so underrated. She’s amazing at her job,” a third Redditor said.
