How Many Mirrorball Trophies Has Val Chmerkovskiy Won?

Val Chmerkovskiy and social media influencer Alix Earle have made it to the finale of “Dancing with the Stars” Season 34, and there is no denying they deserve to be there. Earle is a talented and beautiful dancer, and Chmerkovskiy is a passionate and skilled choreographer. The pair has delivered some incredible performances throughout the season. But will they do enough tonight, on Tuesday, November 25, to secure the win?

It would be Earle’s first Mirrorball Trophy, but not Chmerkovskiy’s because he has a long and impressive history with the ABC dance competition.

Val Chmerkovskiy’s DWTS Wins

Chmerkovskiy is no stranger to winning DWTS, and he has won three times. These incredible achievements were alongside Rumer Willis in Season 20 in 2015 (she returned in Season 34 to dance alongside current competitor Dylan Efron for his Relay Race, and she proved why she deserved that win) and Olympic gymnast Laurie Hernandez in Season 23 in 2016.

Chmerkovskiy’s most recent win was Season 32 in 2023, when he competed alongside actress Xochitl Gomez. Gomez also returned to Season 34 to dance a Relay Race alongside current competitor Robert Irwin. In addition to Chmerkovskiy’s wins, he has also placed second with Zendaya in Season 16 and second place with Gabby Windey in Season 31.

Val Chmerkovskiy Is Ready for Another Win

Chmerkovskiy and Earle are fan favorites to win Season 34, which would be his fourth Mirrorball Trophy win. Fans were initially concerned about their partnership because of rumors of tension between them, but the pair forged a genuine connection that took time rather than putting on a show for fans. Now, they have a lot of mutual respect, and Chmerkovskiy feels Earle would be a worthy winner this season.

“Oh man, the biggest pressure is to make good creative choices,” Chmerkovskiy told OK! Magazine, per AOL, during an interview on November 11. “The steps are hard, but they’re the easy part. The hard part is to come up with the right song, with the right dance and [making sure it’s all] best suited for Alix.”

He praised Earle for her dancing abilities and said they want to deliver an unforgettable performance in the finals. “You’re only as good as your last dance,” he said. “I just want to make sure that the performances she puts out from here on out are the best ones of the night. And that’s a lot of pressure — not because I just want to beat everybody, but because she deserves it. She’s worked so hard, I just want to finish it off for her.”

In a sweet moment in the interview, Chmerkovskiy also referred to Earle as “a lifelong friend.”
