What Has Candace Cameron Bure Been Up To Since Leaving Hallmark?

Popular actress Candace Cameron Bure has been busy since leaving Hallmark Channel, while making movies for Great America Media. The former โ€œQueen of Hallmarkโ€ hasnโ€™t looked back since she joined the competition, by signing an exclusive deal with Great American Media.

When Cameron Bure departed from Hallmark, she raised many eyebrows when interviewed by the Wall Street Journal. Among the words bringing controversy to the veteran movie star was the fact that she claimed her new network home would focus on โ€œtraditional marriageโ€ content.

As Hallmark makes itself more diversified, Great American Media would focus on feel-good and traditional marriage films. Meanwhile, Cameron Bure later apologized for remarks made in November 2022, after there was an uproar over her comment that Great American Family would, โ€œkeep traditional marriage at the core.โ€

โ€œI would like to address my comments on Great American Familyโ€™s programming as reported in The Wall Street Journal. All of you know me, know beyond question that I have great love and affection for all people. It absolutely breaks my heart that anyone would ever think I intentionally would want to offend and hurt anyone.”

“It saddens me that the media is often seeking to divide us, even around a subject as comforting and merry as Christmas movies. But, given the toxic climate in our culture right now, I shouldnโ€™t be surprised. We need Christmas more than ever,โ€ Cameron Bure wrote on Instagram.

On signing with Great American Media, Cameron Bure quickly made her onscreen debut with Great American Family by making a holiday film, โ€œA Christmasโ€ฆ Present.โ€ The movie was also produced by the “Full House” alum’s own production company, Candy Rock Entertainment. Of interest to note, multiple Cameron Bureโ€™s movies have involved her production company.

Fast forward to 2024, and Great American Media launched Great America Mysteries, with Cameron Bure headlining the first movie for that channel. That first movie resulted in the Ainsley McGregor Mysteries franchise which announced in July 2026 that the actressโ€™ fourth movie in the series is set to premiere in 2027.

    1. Why are you continuing to write about Cameron Bure? She left Hallmark years ago and made it clear she didn’t like the direction Hallmark was making with diversity in its programing and left for a more “family friendly” station. She hurt and insulted many good loving families. She had the right to do so but many do not want to hear about what she is doing theses days.

    2. Was nice to hear what Candice has been up to. I liked Hallmark because it was made the number 1 cable station because it was known for being family friendly. Cannot say that about Hallmark anymore.
I miss the Aurora Teagarden Mysteries and Hallmark shows them often.

      • Guess your kind doesn’t consider anyone’s else’s family other then your kind as a family. Hallmark is for ALL families not just your kind. You have small minded GAC to entertain your small minded world the rest of us have a more inclusive channel to watch that includes everyone .

      • I agree! Those who say they no longer care to hear about her or from her, not all of us feel that way. So many of us like the traditional relationships, and although we don’t wish to judge the same sex relationships we don’t care to see or witness it. I love Candace and appreciate she remains true to her religious values.

        • What a joke. “although we don’t wish to judge the same sex relationships we don’t care to see or witness it” that is exactly what you are doing. If you don’t want to see it that is OK and that is your right but you have no right to try to stop many others from being inclusive in their viewing. There are those of your kind that still do not want to see bi-racial couples of any race together. Again watch your GAC and stay in your closed closet we are out of ours and you will never put us back in.

    3. I’ve tried to watch a few of the GAC movies to see if they were any good. What i have found is that they are boring, and a poor attempt at entertaining. I can’t even get through 20 minutes of watching because they are just not fun to watch. I adore the Hallmark channel, and watch a lot of the movies multiple times. There is really no comparison between the two networks.
