Hallmark star Lacey Chabert is giving fans an early look at her upcoming series, and this time, it’s straight from the set.
Chabert recently shared a series of behind-the-scenes photos from filming the upcoming Hallmark+ series “Paris Is Always a Good Idea.” The images offer a candid glimpse at production alongside co-star Rebecca Hanssen.

In the Instagram post, Chabert and Hanssen smile for the camera while holding a clapperboard labeled with the series title. One photo captures the pair on what appears to be a stylized set with warm lighting, while others show them in more casual moments, including a car selfie between takes.
“Sisters & slates… and a surprise photobomb,” Chabert wrote in the caption. “Having the best time playing sisters while filming ‘Paris Is Always a Good Idea.'”
The images do not reveal specific plot details, but they do confirm that filming is actively underway. The presence of production slates and varied settings suggests the series is currently in production rather than promotion.
Actor Scott Michael Foster also briefly appears in one of the photos, popping into the background in a playful photobomb moment.
‘Paris Is Always a Good Idea’ Will Be a Hallmark+ Limited Series
“Paris Is Always a Good Idea” is a six-episode limited series based on the novel by Jenn McKinlay. The story follows Chelsea Martin, played by Chabert, a nonprofit professional who travels abroad. During the trip, she reconnects with people from her past while reconsidering her future.
According to Hallmark, the series is filming on location in Europe, including Paris, giving it a broader, travel-focused setting compared to many of the network’s traditional productions.
Reports note that the story blends romance with personal growth, with Hanssen’s character playing a key role as Chelsea’s sister throughout the journey, according to People.
The Series Marks a Bigger Push for Hallmark+
The project is part of Hallmark’s continued expansion into streaming content through Hallmark+. Unlike the network’s traditional standalone movies, the limited series format allows for a longer, more layered storyline.
Chabert, a longtime staple of the network, is also serving as an executive producer on the project, marking a more involved role behind the scenes as well.
While a premiere date has not yet been announced, the series is set for a 2026 release, according to People.
