Ok was it just me who thinks she is paying this guys way too much for someone who it seems has done nothing at all with his life since Bring It On oh so long ago.
She has been gainfully employed and now has to pay him for the duration of 10 years plus all that he gets to keep. I’m sure he will come up with something else he wants and take her back to court.

Would you say the same if the roles were reversed? He may have been a “stay at home” dad, or working on another venture. Obviously, they were comfortable with their arrangement.
When my brother and sister-in-law divorced, she was making approximately $400,000 a year, while he was establishing his business, and made less than $30,000. The divorce was amicable, and they did it without court interference. However, she would’ve owed him substantial monthly payments that they decided to take it before a judge. My best friend just settled her divorce, and she had to pay her husband over a $500,000 lump sum, because he retired early, and his only income was social security.

Obviously he didn’t need to be motivated she was working. No, I don’t know what was going on behind closed doors but when it is presented of what all he received it does sound like he was lazy. That is the only conclusion I drew. Maybe it wasn’t but it sure sounded like it. I know I would be upset if someone was taking a pretty good chunk of my hard earned money. Every family is different. Your friends husband retired early well i’m glad he could afford it and he received $500,000 in the process. Not everyone is as lucky as he is. I know if my husband divorced me or vice versa neither one of us would be able to retire early. In fact, we will have to work past the age of retirement. So let them count their blessings they have money they get to fight over.
