Alicia Wittโs talent as a singer has been showcased in many of Hallmarkโs coziest holiday films; however, after leaving the network over five years ago, Witt, 50, was forced to take her talent elsewhere. Fortunately for her fans, that means theyโre able to see her perform live.
Not only can she sing, but her skills as a pianist are also remarkable โ and in a new video shared on her Instagram, fans were able to see just how musically inclined she is.
Alicia Witt Rehearses for Her Performance
The video, shared on Thursday, Jan. 15, showed Witt as she practiced a piano routine for her upcoming concert at the Analog at Hutton Hotel in Nashville.
โspeed running ‘About Me’ for tonight’s concert at @analognashville because i know @sauteslut will want to hear it. live streaming tonight as well! link in bio for all the tickets or visit @getonvolume to find the show. eight PM nashville time,โ she captioned the post.
Witt also explained in her caption how she sped up โAbout Meโ from her 2015 album, Revisionary History, in triple time for fans to see just how dedicated she is to her offscreen craft.
In addition to her impressive piano playing, Witt is an established songwriter. While starring in some of Hallmarkโs most popular holiday films, sheโs performed her originals. For her role in โChristmas Tree Lane,โ Witt sang two of her songs, including โChristmas Will Never Endโ and โWhy Christmas,โ per her discography.
Alicia Wittโs Hallmark Music Lives On
Her track โThe Heart of Christmasโ was so well-received that the network added it to their โHallmark Channelโs Christmas Albumโ in 2019.
While Witt is a beloved contributor to Hallmarkโs stamp on the holiday season, the multitalented star stepped back as one of the most popular faces on the network after the 2020 film โChristmas Tree Lane.โ She explained in an Instagram comment in October 2025 why she no longer films for the network, adding how sheโs still open to doing so โ especially if itโs a Christmas film.
โIโm SO grateful for the movies i made for them. especially since so many of you found my music this way โค๏ธ since the leadership at Hallmark changed over 5 years ago, i stopped getting offered movies there, along with some other โregulars,โโ she shared.
โBut I remain most open to making another christmas movie in the future if they were to offer me one (and @hallmarkchannel knows this),โ Witt added. โbut please know it was never my choice to stop making them ๐hope to see you at one of the shows on my christmas tour!!โ

I so agree with Alicia.
Hallmark just dumped their tried-and-true loyal actresses/actors. They also did the same to the very viewers who had made them number one. It used to be you leave the TV on channel Hallmark and not worry if children were around because it was “known as a family, safe, happy, cable channel that the people loved. That has drastically changed and not for the better.
I agree totally. Not the same as before. Very sad.
I’m sorry you’re not making any more movies on Hallmark channel. I love all of your movies.
Hallmark, take note, ask Alicia Witt to make movies for your channel!
Alicia: So happy you are doing well. Love your music. I truly hope with the new changes at Hallmark we will see you again in a Hallmark Movie.
Hallmark give Alicia a call. Get her in a movie.
