Hallmark’s ‘Holiday Touchdown’ Cast Shares Their Picks for the Next Football Romance

Hallmark debuted “Holiday Touchdown: A Bills Love Story” on November 22, and fans loved it. The movie, which was a play off of the 2024 Hallmark movie “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story,” starred Holland Roden and Matthew Daddario.

While Hallmark has not made any official announcements yet about a 2026 variation, Roden and Daddario already have some suggestions. The pair talked to Us Weekly on November 18 to reveal their thoughts.

Holland Roden Knows Exactly Which Team She’d Like to Be Next

In sharing her suggestion, Roden admitted, “I’m biased.” She explained she grew up in Dallas, Texas; therefore, she would pick the Dallas Cowboys for the next Hallmark collaboration, if it were to happen.

Roden added that she would love to see Deion Sanders or Troy Aikman pop up in the movie if it were to come to fruition. While filming the Buffalo movie, Roden brought a friend to the set one day who was tickled to meet Jim Kelly.

“If that happened to me [with Aikman or Sanders], it would definitely be like, ‘Oh, whoa. Twelve-year-old Holland is freaking out right now,” Roden admitted.

Daddario seemed less ready to make a solid suggestion. “The Giants aren’t ready yet. The Jets don’t deserve it,” he declared. Daddario grew up in New York, but his background wasn’t enough to fully back either of the other area NFL teams quite yet.

Instead, Daddario shared, “I think Indianapolis deserves to be there.”

He explained, “That team’s got some gumption. Give me an Indianapolis Christmas [movie]. I’m about it.” As Hallmark fans might guess, Daddario does have a connection to Indianapolis, Indiana. He went to college there.

Hallmark Fans Loved the Bills “Holiday Touchdown” Movie

Hallmark fans enjoyed the Bills collaboration and were quick to say they are ready to see a third “Holiday Touchdown” movie next year, as well.

“Loved this movie. It was great. Matt did a fantastic job. The whole cast was great,” one Hallmark fan noted on Instagram.

Another fan declared, “This was a cute one! Loved the story and plot twist with Mrs. Claus. Ready for another movie next year!”

“Loved this movie and even though I’m a eagles fan I thought it was great and the chemistry between @hollandroden @matthewdaddario was amazing and of course Matthew is very dreamy,” someone else gushed.

An additional comment read, “Thoroughly enjoyed this movie so much. Great cast and chemistry!!”

  1. I absolutely loved this movie. I didn’t think anything could surpass the Chiefs movie last year, but this one definitely did!!! I’ve already begun hoping for a third movie next year: The Eagles, the Steelers, the Cowboys would be my first three choices…it has to be an established team with a history of fan support which all 3 of those do; they have had a lot of success, and memorable coaches and players… PLEASE give us another Holiday Touchdown film!
The stars in this movie were perfect for their parts, and are sure to be favorites of all of us Hallmark movie fans… Thanks a million for my favorite Christmas movie so far this year!

  2. I thought it was a very good movie, it was a noisy movie, everyone trying to talk over each other and talking too fast. Just my opinion sorry if no one agrees with me.

  4. I am also a Chicago Bears fan. The 1985 Super Bowl Champs, were the best to ever win the title. Sadly though, unless something happens this year, I guess they are out.
