If you were asked to pick your favorite Hallmark duos of all time, it might be hard to narrow it down to just one or two choices. That’s because there have been so many captivating pairings of beloved actresses and actors who have brought the channel’s stories to life.
However, there are still two major Hallmark stars who haven’t starred together as romantic interests, and according to fans, that definitely needs to happen!
Fans Are Eager for a Movie with Niall Matter and Lacey Chabert
HallmarkWhen we recently shared a Facebook post that focused on the leading men that Hallmark superstar Lacey Chabert has worked with over the years, social media users left comments mentioning who they felt she paired with the best. Andrew Walker and Paul Greene were both brought up, as was Chabert’s “Paris is Always a Good Idea” costar Scott Michael Foster.
That’s not to mention the fact that she’s also worked with Tyler Hynes, Brendan Penny, Will Kemp, Kevin McGarry and Ryan Merriman, as well as Kristoffer Polaha, Adam Mayfield, Warren Christie and Stephen Hagan. She’s also teamed up with Brennan Elliott, Tyron Leitso, Carlo Marks, Lea Coco and Travis Van Winkle, just to name a few.
However, you may notice one particular name missing from that list, and fans were sure to note that on our Facebook post. That name happens to belong to Niall Matter.
Indeed, one person wrote, “Would LOVE to see Lacey and Niall Matter!!!!!!!!!!!!!!❤”
“I would love to see Lacey Chabert and Niall Matter pair up together haven’t seen theses two pair up would be so nice,” a second social media user also noted.
A third fan of both stars left a comment, saying, “I’d love to see Lacey and Niall Matter paired together.”
Could Niall Star with Lacey In Her Southern Easter Musical?
When it comes to what kind of Hallmark movie Chabert and Matter could appear in together, there are surely endless possibilities. However, there’s one idea that came from the actress and has sparked the interest of her fans.
While recently discussing what kind of movie Hallmark has yet to do as well as what kind of project Chabert might want to tackle, she mentioned three things. The first was a story set in the South, which is where she was born and raised. She also brought up the fact that Hallmark isn’t exactly known for doing Easter movies or musicals.
Although Andrew Walker has also expressed interest in doing a musical, which means that he could co-star with Chabert in her Southern Easter musical if one were to happen, it seems like Matter might be another ideal choice.
Not only would that delight fans who would love to see Matter and Chabert on screen together, but the actor has already proven that he has the skills needed thanks to his performances in the 2020 Hallmark movie “Country at Heart,” which saw him singing and playing guitar. He also showed off his musical talent with Jessy Schram and Lucas Bryant during the Hallmark At Home Concert Special, which you can see above!
Lacey and Niall would have tremendous chemistry. First of all, both are amazing actors, funny and act from the heart so together it would be pure magic. Get them a script!
I would also like to see niall matter and lacey in a movie for Hallmark as they are both amazing actors and would have great chemistry.

With apologies to the other Hallmark actors, Niall is the best actor at Hallmark. The only times I have seen him where he wasn’t outstanding as an actor were in stereotypical overdone plots that had absolutely no drama in them. Frankly, I am not a huge Hallmark fan but when I have happened upon decently written movies with Niall, he is always the best of the bunch. Since this hypothetical musical is supposed to be happening in the south and he has proven himself to be a really good country singer, I think he is a natural. Please resist the urge to put Andrew Walker in yet another movie.
