Hallmark fans have plenty to look forward to this January with the return of the network’s “Winter Escape” event, featuring a selection of sun-soaked movies filled with plenty of romance and adventure, offering fans a welcome break from the chilly winter weather.
The lineup kicked off with the premiere of “Lost in Paradise” on Saturday, January 3, 2026 and continues with the highly anticipated “A Melbourne Match.”
The film follows Georgie, a travel writer who journeys to Melbourne for an assignment and unexpectedly finds more than just a story. She meets Zach, an Australian ex-footballer, who agrees to be her tour guide, showing her that life has more to offer than deadlines and schedules.

Meet the Cast: Mallory Jansen as Georgie
HallmarkJansen is an Australian actress, born and raised in Melbourne. According to her Hallmark bio, one of her breakout roles was supermodel Helena Christensen on Channel 7’s “Never Tear Us Apart: The Untold Story of INXS.”
Jansen made the move over to the United States in mid-2013 and only weeks later scored her first recurring role of Caroline Huntington in ABC Family’s “Young & Hungry,” shortly followed by the recurring role of Georgie Farlow in ABC Family’s hit show “Baby Daddy.” That same year, news broke that Jansen was to play the starring role of Madalena in ABC’s fresh new TV series “Galavant,” a medieval musical comedy. Jansen garnered much critical acclaim for her portrayal of the evil Queen.
Immediately after wrapping the second season of “Galavant,” Jansen was cast in the fourth season of ABC’s hit show “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D,” where she portrayed three different roles. She later starred in FOX’s ballet themed dramedy series “The Big Leap.”
Jansen has appeared in numerous hit network shows including, “This Is Us” and “American Housewife.” She also recurred in Mark Wahlberg’s “Shooter.”
Her previous work for Hallmark includes “On the 12th Date of Christmas,” “Her Pen Pal,” “Francesca Quinn, PI,” “Paging Mr. Darcy,” “All I Need for Christmas,” and “The Royal We.”
Meet the Cast: Ryan Corr as Zach
HallmarkCorr has a long list of impressive roles. According to his Hallmark bio, Corr took on the role of Ser Harwin in the “Games of Thrones” prequel, “House of the Dragon.” He also starred in Stephen Johnson’s 1930’s action-thriller “High Ground,” led Maziar Lahooti’s debut feature film “Below,” and had a role in Garth Davis’ “Mary Magdalene.”
Corr was also in the award-winning film “Hacksaw Ridge,” from director Mel Gibson, “The Water Diviner,” under the direction of Russell Crowe, and Spike Jonze’s “Where the Wild Things Are.” Recent television work includes “Wakefield,” “The Commons,” “The Secrets She Keeps,” “Hungry Ghosts,” and the award-winning first season of “Bloom.”
He is also a skilled voice actor, audiobook narrations include Audible Original’s “The Winning Formula, Like, Follow, Die, Moonlite: The Tragic Love Story of Captain Moonlite” and “The Bloody End of the Bushrangers” both by Garry Linnell.
“A Melbourne Match” is Corr’s debut movie on the Hallmark Channel.
