Hallmark fans have had plenty to look forward to this January with the return of the network’s “Winter Escape” event, featuring a selection of sun-soaked movies filled with plenty of romance and adventure, offering fans a welcome break from the chilly winter weather.
The lineup kicked off with the premiere of “Lost in Paradise” on Saturday, January 3, 2026, followed by “A Melbourne Match” on Saturday, January 10, 2026, “Love on the Amazon” on Saturday, January 17, “Caught by Love” on Saturday, January 24, 2026 and finishes up with the highly anticipated “Missing the Boat.”
The film follows strangers Kelly (Emilie Ullerup) and Parker (Kristoffer Polaha), who both end up on the same Italian cruise, but after missing the boat during a stop, they’re forced to team up and race across southern Italy to catch up.

Meet the Cast: Emilie Ullerup as Kelly
HallmarkAccording to her Hallmark bio, Ullerup is best known for her role as playwright and bookstore owner Bree O’Brien in Hallmark Channel’s acclaimed family drama, “Chesapeake Shores.” She has recently been seen in the Hallmark Channel Original “Nature of Love,” the Hallmark Movies & Mysteries Original “Christmas Bells Are Ringing,” the Netflix features, “True Memoirs of an International Assassin,” and “Brazen,” and the Lionsgate feature, “Life On The Line,” opposite John Travolta and Kate Bosworth. Her other credits include “Battlestar Galactica” (SyFy), “Supernatural” (The CW), “Signed, Sealed, Delivered” (Hallmark Movies & Mysteries) and “Motherland: For Salem” (Freeform).
Meet the Cast: Kristoffer Polaha as Parker
HallmarkAccording to his Hallmark bio, Polaha has been seen on the big screen in “Jurassic World Dominion” and “Wonder Woman 1984.” He is best-known for starring in The CW’s critically acclaimed series “Life Unexpected.” He had a recurring role on the cable series “Get Shorty” with Ray Romano and Chris O’Dowd, the limited series “Condor” opposite William Hurt and Max Irons, and television movie “Burying Barstow” opposite Angie Harmon.
Prior to that, Polaha co-starred with Rainn Wilson in the FOX series “Backstrom” as well as a number of TV series over the past 10 years including “North Shore,” “Miss Guided,” “Made in Jersey,” “Ringer” and “Valentine,” in addition to a multi-season recurring role on the acclaimed series “Mad Men” as well as numerous guest starring roles on both cable and network series. Polaha is also well known for his many starring roles in Hallmark movies, most recently “A Winning Team” and “We Wish You a Married Christmas.”
