‘Brady Bunch’ Star Says They Dated Michael Jackson

Maureen McCormick, famously known as Marcia Brady on โ€œThe Brady Bunch,โ€ and for her time as a contestant on “Dancing with the Stars,” recently opened up about a sweet and innocent teenage romance with none other than pop icon Michael Jackson.

In a candid moment with Access Hollywood from years ago, she revealed she went on dates with Jackson and confessed, โ€œI was just absolutely in love with him.โ€

โ€œI thought he was the greatest star ever. I couldnโ€™t even believe that here I am little Maureen McCormick from the Valley driving up to the Jackson 5 house and going inside and hanging out,โ€ she said during the interview.

Her memories stretch back to when she was around 16 and Jackson was about 14 โ€” a time when both were navigating early fame.

McCormick recalled that they met after Michael and his family became familiar with her show, and that she felt โ€œin aweโ€ of him.

โ€œI thought he was the greatest thing in the world,โ€ she recalled.

McCormick Has Fond Memories of Their Time Together

She even talked about driving up to the Jackson familyโ€™s house, spending time inside, and forming a genuine bond rooted in admiration.

One particularly vivid memory came from a date at an ice skating rink.

She remembered holding hands with Jackson as they glided around โ€” a small but meaningful moment for her young heart.

In McCormickโ€™s mind, the connection was more than friendship: โ€œI was in love. I thought I was going to maybe be Mrs. Michael Jackson. Yeah, I definitely could have been. I would have loved it.”

Still, she wasnโ€™t entirely at ease during their time together.

McCormick admitted that she felt watched in the Jackson household. The presence of Jacksonโ€™s parents made her feel like she didnโ€™t quite belong, even though she deeply admired their son.

She later reflected that her own insecurities might have amplified those feelings, saying she โ€œalways kind of felt like I was being watched.โ€

McCormick Revealed Where the Two Met

Despite the age difference and the complications of fame, McCormick maintained that from her perspective, their relationship was very real.

Looking back in a 2016 interview, she clarified that while Jackson might not have defined their time together as โ€œdates,โ€ she absolutely did.

Their connection reportedly began at a lawyerโ€™s office โ€” โ€œsome attorneyโ€™s place,โ€ McCormick said โ€” where she and Jackson met among business dealings.

โ€œWe just became friends and admired each other. I think he loved โ€˜The Brady Bunch,โ€™โ€ she added.

Over the years, McCormick has revisited these memories with fondness, treating them not as a regret but as a beautiful, formative chapter in her life.

She noted that she is still in contact with some members of the Jackson family.
