Shortly before the tragic deaths on Dec. 14, Rob and Michele Reiner sent heartwarming holiday cards to their friends.
“Today in the mail was a card from Michele and Rob Reiner!” Neda Soderqvist captioned her Instagram post on Monday, December 29. “Even from heaven, they are still making sure that everyone receives their bonuses and what really truly touches my soul and heart are the cards that Michele wrote me and one of the funny things about her was each time she sent me a bonus she would make me promise her that I would utilize it for myself and not give it away.”
“She knew me so well but today Michelle I promise you I’ll keep $100 and the rest I’m going to donate in your honor to one of the most inspiring foundations that I know you love thank you for being my best friend ride or die,” she continued. ” Someone who taught me self-worth self-love and I will keep your legacy going forever and I’ll give you the oath that I’ll be here for your children. #michelereiner #robreiner
Neda Soderqvist Shared A Photo Of The Actual Card
Along with her sweet caption, Soderqvist also included a photo of the card she was sent that included the message from the late couple.
“Dear Neda – What can I say after all these years. We love each other, are mad at each other, and then move on! And it always works out! I hope you have a great holiday with your family who adore you – Love Michele and Rob.”
Jake Reiner Has Been There For His Sister
GettyFollowing the loss of their parents source spoke with the Daily Mail about how Jake has stepped up in an effort to be there for his sister.
“Jake has had to step into a paternalistic role,” the source told the outlet. “His motto is ‘family first’ — that’s something Rob and Michele had always prioritized and taught their children.”
“Jake is determined to get his sister through this,” they added. “It’s an enormous burden, but he’s the oldest, and he sees it as his duty.”
Jake and Romy have been spending time together at their beach house, being joined by Michele’s sisters Suzanne and Martine, Romy’s boyfriend Alex Silberberg, and Jake’s partner Maria Gilfillan, the Daily Mail added.
“They are sheltering from the storm – both literally and emotionally,” the insider said.
“They all felt it was really important to come together as a family for the festive week and to mark Romy’s birthday, however subdued the celebrations,” they added.
