Andy Cohen Gives a Nod to RHONJ OG As He Shares Cast Update for Season 15

Andy Cohenย gave an update on the status of โ€œThe Real Housewives of New Jersey.โ€ The Bravo reality show has been on hiatus since 2024 amid the cast members’ infighting, but there is finally some movement toward the long-awaited 15th season.

During a March 2026 appearance at an SXWL panel, Cohen said of New Jersey, โ€œWe had a powwow the other day. And weโ€™re getting real close/ Real close. That is the title of the Danielle Staub single, โ€˜Real Close.โ€™โ€

Staub was one of the original RHONJ stars in 2008, alongside Teresa Giudice, Caroline Manzo, Jacqueline Laurita, and Dina Cantin. While she left RHONJ in 2020 and vowed never to return as a Housewife, in happier times, Staub once performed her song โ€œReal Closeโ€ with Lori Michaels on an episode of โ€œWatch What Happens Live.โ€

There Are Rumors That 3 RHONJ Stars Will Return for Season 15

Cohen did not confirm any of the RHONJ casting rumors that have been swirling. Last week, the Up and Adam podcast shared a report that teased that longtime stars Teresa Giudice, Melissa Gorga, and Dolores Catania are all expected to return for Season 15 and that Bravo โ€œis still currently finalizingโ€ the rest of the cast, which is expected to also include three newcomers.

In January 2025, Giudice said on her โ€Turning the Tablesโ€ podcast that Bravo would likely bring โ€œsome people backโ€ for Seasonย 15, but that she was okay with another โ€œfamilyโ€ becoming the focus.

โ€œIf thereโ€™s another family that wants to put it out there, all the power to them,โ€ Giudice said. โ€œIโ€™ll be cheering them on, and I would give them my advice. I would love that.โ€

Giudice alsoย told Page Sixโ€™s โ€œVirtual Reali-Teaโ€ that she would love it if new cast members were added to the show. โ€œI love new blood and I love to make new friends. Iโ€™m all about that. So yeah, I think that would be fun,โ€ she said.

Fans will still have a long wait for new RHONJ episodes. In the meantime, Cohen has likened the upcoming โ€œReal Housewives of Rhode Islandโ€ to the old school Jersey days.

The [RHORI] cast is incredible,โ€ the Bravo producer told Page Six in an interview. โ€œThey are very Italian. Rhode Island is such a small state, and they all kind of know each other and overlap, and itโ€™s an incredible group of women who have really interesting connections. I think itโ€™s going to really surprise people. [It] does kind of remind you of early โ€˜Jerseyโ€™ in a weird way.โ€

Cohen elaborated on the new series, set to debut on April 2, while speaking at SXSW.

โ€œ[Rhode Island} is giving me everything that I love in Housewives,โ€ he said, per Deadline. โ€œThe women are all stars. Theyโ€™re so funny. They are the drama. ย โ€ฆItโ€™s our smallest state, and they all seem to know each other, or be related, or went to high school together, or all of the above. Theyโ€™re all in each otherโ€™s lives and itโ€™s super dramatic.โ€

โ€œThere is not a dud episode in the bunch,โ€ Cohen added. โ€œYouโ€™re going to love it. And Iโ€™m not over hyping. We were worried about saturation, like eight Housewives ago. It appears there is a market for new places.โ€
