Itโs the dawn of a new era for The Bold and the Beautiful as the soap officially settles into its brand-new studio.
On Tuesday, August 19, the cast and crew marked their first day of taping at Sunset Las Palmas Studios. The move was first announced in June, when it was revealed that the CBS daytime drama would relocate to the historic production lot after 38 years at Television City, per Deadline.
Now, filming is officially underway on the newly built sets, signaling a fresh chapter for the long-running series.

โThe Bold and the Beautifulโ OG cast member John McCook, who has played Eric Forrester since day one, shares his thoughts on the showโs fresh start in its new studio.
โ38 years playing Eric Forrester and weโre beginning again at Sunset Las Palmas Studio,โ the veteran actor wrote on Instagram. โ Itโs never too late to try something new. Keep letting me know what you like and what you donโt like. Weโre a family.โ
Another longest-running cast member, Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke Logan), admits to having mixed emotions about the historic move. The actress also gave fans a glimpse of her new dressing room on the set.
She wrote in part, โThereโs something magical about stepping into new studios after 38 yearsโฆ a mix of excitement, fresh beginnings, and the chance to create a whole new chapter of memories and stories.โ
Don Diamont, who plays Bill Spencer, also showed off โThe Bold and the Beautifulโsโ new home, while Annika Noelle (Hope Logan) is thankful for the new chapter in their โnew home away from home.โ
Bradley Bell Leads Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony
CBSTo commemorate the historic day, โThe Bold and the Beautifulโ Executive Producer and Head Writer Bradley Bell leads the symbolic ribbon-cutting ceremony, alongside CEO and Chairman of Hudson Pacific, Victor Coleman.
โThis is a place where history is made, and today, history is being made,โ Coleman announces before Bell proceeds to cut the ribbon.
