Snoop joined the NBA broadcast team on Peacock during the game between the Golden State Warriors and L.A. Clippers, and as one might imagine, his commentary was both smart and hilarious.

One of the funniest moments of the game was when Warriors coach Steve Kerr got so heated about a call that the refs ejected him from the game. Six days into 2026, Sports Illustrated called it the “best sports moment of the year.”
As Kerr was seen getting angry on the sidelines, Snoop started shouting, “Uh-oh, Steve gonna get thrown out. Get him out of there! Get him out of there! Back him up, back him up GP. Steve ready to fire on ‘em. Steve banging Inglewood right now. Inglewood! Get him Steve, you in Inglewood, Steve!”

Snoop Dogg Gave Steph Curry a New Nickname
Snoop was enamored with Warriors superstar Steph Curry, and even gave him a funny new nickname — Stephisicated Curry — which made analysts Terry Gannon and Reggie Miller chuckle.
The rapper used the nickname throughout the second half, including when Curry made an unbelievable basket and when Curry fouled out, announcing, “Stephisticated Curry has been removed from the game!”

The NBA posted a “Best of Snoop” on social media, including video of his pre-game interview with Curry, during which he traded in his funny commentary for some serious questions, and footage of him observing operations in the production trailer.
They also shared multiple video highlights, including a hilarious moment when the Clippers stole the ball and he uttered, “Oh! Cookies and cream!” Miller was laughing and speechless, making the moment even funnier.
There’s no word on whether Snoop will be back on any future NBA games, but he is part of NBC’s broadcast team again for the 2026 Olympics, following his amusing and enthusiastic role at the 2024 Olympics. He also announced that he’s serving as Community Chairman for the Los Angeles World Cup 2026 Host Committee, drumming up excitement for the giant event in June 2026.
