Former “Big Brother” winner Ashley Hollis has paid tribute to Mickey Lee and revealed the final message that she sent to her. The season 27 star tragically passed away on Christmas evening at the age of just 35 after suffering from a number of cardiac arrests over the last few days.
Ashley Hollis Tried To Reconcile With Mickey Lee In Final Message
Both Hollis and Lee starred in season 27 of “Big Brother,” with Hollis eventually going on to win the 2025 edition of the show, while Lee finished in tenth place after being eliminated via public vote on day 59.
Now, Hollis has revealed that she recently reached out to Lee in an attempt to make peace after Lee made some controversial comments in various interviews. In a now-deleted story on her Instagram account, Hollis shared a screenshot of a text message she had sent to Lee. The post read, “My last text to Mickey. I felt called to reach out to her for some reason a few weeks ago…and I’m so glad I did.”
Some of the contents of the original message were censored to maintain privacy but the text appears to have been conciliatory. It read, “I wanted to reach out to you! I didn’t really get to see you this weekend plus I didn’t really wanna approach it in public with fans around and stuff!
It continued, “But I wanted to reach out because I honestly didn’t like the way things transpired between us and I did really care about you in the house. I don’t want beef w u and I don’t want the two black girls to be pit against each other. I don’t like that! So I wanted to be the bigger person and reach out to squash the 🥩.”
