After the Medieval Twist happened during Sunday’s 1000th episode and Wednesday’s “Big Brother” episode, eliminating Haley from the game, the Houseguests had a lot to talk about.
Now, another eviction night has arrived inside the house, and the game is starting to feel like it could move in just about any direction.
Drew is the current Head of Household after winning the competition, which aired last night. And he nominated LaLa (LaTrice), Taylor, and Yash, putting three very different players in danger.
Zingbot appeared to roast the remaining Houseguests (see below), then Yash managed to win the Power of Veto and took himself off the block. This forced Drew to name a replacement nominee. He chose “Survivor” alum, Devens, who had volunteered to go up as long as he was kept safe.
This replacement nominee created a pretty interesting final group of nominees heading into tonight’s episode. Plus the opportunity for a game-changing move against the reality TV icons.
So, LaLa, Taylor, and Devens are now fighting to stay in the game. And yep, there are still plenty of questions surrounding this eviction, and let’s be real, the further we get into the season, the more important every single vote becomes.
Could Rick Devens Become the Target Tonight?
It seems like if Devens doesn’t win the BB Blockbuster, he could suddenly find himself in a lot of trouble. Yep, this could be the opportunity for Barrett or Drew to make a BIG move against one of the strongest players in the house.
With Drew as the current HOH, he would cast the deciding vote if the eviction ends in a tie. That puts Barrett in an especially interesting position, as he could potentially break away from the Crossovers and vote Devens out.
But Barrett isn’t the only one considering when would be the best time to get Devens out of the game. Both Angela and Dee talk about the possibility of flipping the vote.
Honestly, it seems like this could be one of those moments where the game changes completely with just one vote. But will anyone actually be willing to make that move, or will the Crossovers stick together once again?
ParamountOnly time will tell, but Dan Gheesling (BB10 Winner & BB14) certainly seemed to think someone needs to make a move when he spoke during the show’s 1,000th episode (per The Detroit News):
“The ‘Survivors’ in the house are running this game, and someone has gotta break them up. I want to see one of the new players step up and bust them up because otherwise, Dee or Devens are going to run away with it.”
Let’s be real, Dan’s thoughts could become even more interesting since Devens finds himself sitting on the block tonight.
Who Won the ‘BB Blockbuster’ Comp?
Before the live vote, LaTrice, Taylor, and Devens will compete in the BB Blockbuster for one final chance at safety.
Julie Chen Moonves gave fans a sneak peek at tonight’s comp, “Your Game in Ruins,” in a joint post with the official “Big Brother” Instagram account, and this one looks like it could get messy.
The caption teased:
“Helllooooooo here’s a sneak peek of tonight’s BB Block Buster. Who do you think will win this comp? …and who do you hope wins the next HOH? #BB28 Someone send water! 😅”
So, what exactly will the nominees have to do? They’ll need to search through a quarry (a.k.a. a large bin) filled with spheres to find the ones that match their assigned color. From there, they’ll have to lean over a balcony and drop the balls into a tube.
The first nominee to get four spheres into the tube within four minutes will win the competition and save themselves from possible eviction. If nobody manages to get four spheres in before the four-minute mark, the Houseguest with the most spheres in the tube in the shortest amount of time will take the win.
That winner will take themselves off the block and guarantee their safety, leaving the other two Houseguests vulnerable to the live vote.
Yep, this one could come down to speed, balance, and a whole lot of scrambling. And, it seems like this competition could be especially important tonight, considering who is sitting on the block.
BB Blockbuster Winner: Devens
The ‘Big Brother’ Houseguests Cast Their Week 8 Votes
ParamountWith the BB Blockbuster out of the way, LaLa and Taylor are now hoping they did enough to stay in the game. The two nominees are not eligible to vote and Drew as HOH does not vote except in the case of a tie. That means only 4 votes are needed to evict tonight.

- Angela votes to evict Taylor.
- Barrett votes to evict LaLa.
- Yash votes to evict LaLa.
- Devens votes to evict LaLa.
- Melody votes to evict Taylor.
Who Was Evicted From ‘Big Brother’ Season 28 Tonight?

LaTrice was evicted from “Big Brother” Season 28 by a vote of 4-2.
LaLa took a moment to hug everyone and say her goodbyes before leaving the “Big Brother” house. Once she made her way out, she met up with Julie Chen Moonves and the live audience, while back inside the house, both Angela and Taylor appeared to be pretty emotional about LaLa’s departure.
Julie then sat down with her “sister from another mister” to talk about her time in the game.
LaLa didn’t hold back when reflecting on her experience, saying, “These suckers just don’t know what to do… I’ve always been on the bottom rung.” She also talked about how proud she was of her performance in the Wall Comp, staying on for almost 2 hours, especially considering she was competing at 58 years old.
Julie explained that she couldn’t reveal who voted to evict LaLa because she is officially the first member of the Jury. When asked who she thought might have voted to keep her, LaLa guessed that Angela and Dee could have been two of those votes.
LaLa also opened up about just how emotional the “Big Brother” experience can be.
“These people bring tears to your eyes… you feel so much in there,” she explained, before admitting, “sometimes I was confused.” She then summed up part of her #Confused strategy with the phrase, “you gotta fake it until you make it.”
And honestly, LaLa seemed to leave the game with plenty of confidence in herself. She talked about being able to do whatever she wants to do and the strength she found throughout the experience, proving that getting to this point at 58 was something she could be proud of.
Could a ‘Big Brother’ Double Eviction Be Coming Soon?
CBSWith the season moving deeper into the game, some fans are already wondering whether another major “Big Brother” twist could be right around the corner.
Specifically, there has been speculation that a Double Eviction is on the way (via Facebook). Historically, that “twist” has frequently happened when the game gets down to around seven or eight Houseguests, so the timing is starting to make sense.
Maybe it will happen on either September 10 or September 17. Of course, there has been no confirmation that either night will actually feature a Double Eviction, so for now, this is strictly fan speculation based on where we are in the season.
And considering the finale is scheduled for October 1, it wouldn’t be completely surprising to see the game speed up soon. A Double Eviction would give the Houseguests very little time to figure out what is happening before another player is sent home.
Yep, the possibility is definitely out there, but fans will have to keep watching to see whether “Big Brother” has another surprise waiting.
More BB 28 is On the Way
Getty“Big Brother: Unlocked” is getting celebrity guest panelist Jay Mohr tomorrow night. The actor and comedian is a self-proclaimed “Big Brother” super-fan who was rooting for Kamu and says Barrett is growing on him.
As for who he thinks will win? Mohr believes Dee is likely to take it because “they do whatever she says.”
“Big Brother” airs Sundays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays (as “Big Brother: Unlocked”) at 8:00pm ET on CBS, next day on Paramount+.
