I’m not going to say that Harmony Korine’s vision of The Black Keys’ “Gold on the Ceiling” is stylish, fun, or even good, because I don’t think Harmony Korine was even trying to create something that fans of the Keys would enjoy. But that’s exactly what you gotta admire about a director like Harmony, he unabashedly marches to the beat of his own drum, as weird and out of rhythm as that drum beat has always been.
